Re: Every Time a Canadian Politician Hypocritically Broke COVID Rules (as of January 2)
While us peons sacrifice for the greater good, politicians from all parties ignore their own rules and are having a blast at our expense.
They must think they are royalty and thus above the rules. Their behaviour makes me furious
Leading per example is the very least they could do!

What do they eat for that price? Even 16 oz of filet mignon and a full bottle of champagne at every meal should not get anywhere close to that price tag. Re: 'Limits' May Be Placed on Unvaccinated Ontarians
I'm taking that vaccine as soon as I can. I'm young and do not have any underlying health conditions so I'm well aware than I'm wayyyy at the back of the line. That's okay. Other people need it more than I do. That said, I can't wait to be vaccinated and get back to the old normal. 2020 was a very u...

i'll celebrate Christmas with my familly no matter what the governement says. If they give me a ticket for that, I'll fight it in court. I'm still being cautious for the sake of not contaminating those I love but I refuse to cancel Christmas.

I heard a medical expert on CNN yesterday say to expect mask use for 2 to 3 years. That was the first I've heard of that. Basically they're here to stay until there's a vaccine is what he's saying. Even once an effective vaccine has been created, it will take months to produce , distribute and use ...

Reagan was the best. When he and Thatcher were riding herd, the world ticked along a lot better. Because of Trump's lack of leadership, some Republicans are speculating that McConnell will throw Trump under the bus and lever someone else into the nomination in order to save the Senate. Something ha...

Environmentalism became a religion some time ago. Will be interesting to see if the religions of wokeness and environmentalism clash. When the wokeness religion collided with the COVID religion, wokeness won that battle pretty handilly. I suspect it will be the same if wokeness and environementalis...

Re: What shall we accept by refugees/immigrants who have no interest in assimilating?
That's a complicated topic! I can't fault anyone for wanting a better life. It's human nature to want to improve one's station. I think the fault resides more with our governement, for failing to set clear guidelines & expectations, than with any individual immigrant. Perhaps we could make them sign...

In Québec it has been dropped to 1,50M and will likely be dropped to 1M pretty soon.
We're social beings, social distancing is not natural. We need each other to thrive.
Treating every person you encounter as a potential source of contamination is quite mentally taxing.

The article sum it up well. The worst outbreaks have all been in places where people are packed together for long periods of time : Subways , meat packing plants, jails , hospitals , retirement communities.

If Trudeau has his way, he'd buy all the votes he could. This is my prediction. I expect an election call in September. Make sense to me. Call the elction right after Labour Day for an election day in mid October. Trudeau will want the election to happen before a second wave of COVID. The virus cou...

We have the most jobs added in the recovery because we had lost the most in the first place. Our lockdown was the most severe in Canada. For exemple, construction never closed in Ontario while all sites were shutdown for 2 months in Québec.

Not our circus, not our monkeys.
Canada have more than enough actual problems to deal with. What happened to George Floyd is horrific and I hope Derek Chauvin will spend the rest of his life behind bars but it's not our fight to have.

I'm ambivalent on this topic. On one hand, contact tracing is an excellent way of slowing down the epidemy. People who know they have been in contact with an infected person would get the chance of being more careful while interacting with others as they wait for their test results. Taiwan and South...
