Re: Guaranteed basic income tops policy priorities for Liberal caucus at upcoming convention

You have to show how your proposal could possibly be financed. The gross cost of your UBI according to the Fraser Institute is $465 billion. EI is self financing so at best a couple of billion in administration saved there. Another $15 billion in OAS/GIS. Targeted welfare programs like the Child Ben...

Re: NHL Players Demand Blue Line Be Changed to Black for 'Racial Equality'

The next step is an affirmative action black line. The lines will move between the center and goal lines depending on the black/white ratio of players. In the extreme, if one team has 6 black players on the ice while the opposition is all white, the team with the black players will have its black li...

Recoveries are included in case totals. As recoveries increase, active cases decrease, but case totals continue to climb. Over the past 31 days, the increase in recoveries has exceeded the increase in active cases every single day. Yes but it means nothing. Of course recoveries are included in tota...

Of the 12,636 increase in total cases, almost all were attributable to recoveries. Only 1.5% were attributable to deaths. Don't know why you keep riding this irrelevant statistic. Cases aren't attributable to recoveries but the converse is true. Mainly though, you are comparing something that has t...

Re: Each Ontario Teacher Costs $536 Per School Day

I've always believed in school vouchers where the education money follows the student. As long as the provincial curriculum is taught, it shouldn't matter if it's in a public, private or home school. The competition will force teachers and their unions to serve their customers and not themselves.

I agree with everything you say but look at it from a different perspective. Suppose you are a parent worried about sending your children back to school. It doesn't matter if your concern is unreasonable, it's real to you. Who are you most likely to vote for. Trudeau, who promises gobs of money to m...

I saw where he had been tasered twice before being shot. I thought a taser could bring down an ox.

Seven shots is way too excessive. It suggests either panic or hate, not a good vibe for a cop. A double tap is sufficient.

I don't think the biggest threat to President Trump is Harris or Biden. I think it is voter fraud. If they run a clean election, he wins. If they are allowed to count until they win, he loses (and so does everyone else in the world who isn't a globalist). Right now he is doing a pretty good job of ...

So far Covid has killed about 8900 in Canada in less than six months. If it ends up around 13,000 for 12 months, it will be the country's 3rd to 4th leading cause of death on an annual basis. Not disaster but not insignificant.
