Re: COVID-19 is being blown out of proportion - Change my mind

So the word now from CNN is that ANY death is being attributed to Coronavirus for the purposes of more funding. People on Long Island, NY are tracking hospital deaths which have nothing to do with Covid-19 but are being attributed to it.

Re: COVID-19 is being blown out of proportion - Change my mind

I had a new motorcycle delivered yesterday. They have six dealer locations throughout Alberta. The one I dealt with has laid off 12 staff already. They're huge with 7 brands between motorcycles, snow machine, marine, power equipment, etc. The late spring is one thing but the virus is killing the eco...

Re: Trump Considers Sending Troops to Our Border

Why weren't we sending troops to the border five years ago? The USA was virtually bussing these despots to within 10 miles of the border.

At this time don't forget your pets. Sox the Red Sox cat requires a speciality food (urinary tract) not sold in supermarkets. I can only get it at vet clinics and some pet stores. It's expensive and some stores are closing down. It cost me $2,340. to save his life in pet hospital a year ago. I have ...

I see Sophie has tested positive. Too many long, foreign trips to "exotic" places I imagine. Still, how convenient for the adolescent hubby to remove himself from the public, the media and any semblance of a job.

With the NBA postponing play we have to wonder about the NHL. Another thing to keep in mind is this is an Olympic Games summer in Tokyo. People will be booking flights and rooms right now.

The latest thing is toilet paper mayhem. Many stores are sold out. I saw a woman at Sobey's last night with 12 packs of Purex - each having 12 rolls. All reports are this is lunacy. These people in a worst-case scenario will starve to death surrounded by mountains of toilet paper. The thing has over...

Troot-Owe initially said he couldn't call upon police to dismantle the rail barriers yet he has called off the RCMP investigating HIMSELF.

The military must step aside from shovelling snow down east and open rail lines TODAY! Who is in charge of this country?

Where is the fucking government of Canada? Are we going to have an open rail system nationwide? If not, why not in the second largest nation on earth? Who is running this dog and pony show?

I didn't mind him as the Governor of Massachusetts or as head of the Salt Lake Olympics. As a lifelong Red Sox fan the 85 years of futility which ended in 2004 saw him replacing defaced road signs on the Mass Pike in declaring my Sox the World Champions. They've won it three times more since. I'm no...

Ten years ago they said holes in the ozone layer was our certain doom. I wondered what to do with my cat. 20,000 years ago much of now Canada was covered by a glacier which succeeded well in the USA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurentide_Ice_Sheet. What caused the glacier to go away with no truck...

Re: Does Canada have a national rail system anymore?

So in my lazy retirement, I work a couple of short shifts a week at Sobeys to get out of the house. As an adult, I've noted that a head of lettuce was .99¢ my entire life except it's now $2.99 or more - likely carbon tax but nobody talks about that because you'd be a facist if you question the Troot...

I ride transit in the winter. My downtown routes now exclude the 134 and 140, otherwise referred to as "Orient Express" through Chinatown. I've often been the only caucasian on the bus while they all yell at the top of their lungs in giberish. WTF? China has to be addressed. General MacArthur was ri...

The poor kids. 6 or 7 years ago holes in the ozone layer were the doom of all of us. Except whoops. That never happened. We continue to hurtle through space as though we have control over anything. It's gotta be a tough life being a kid these days.

I've heard more than once locally of Rona Ambrose quietly looking at it. Very interesting.

I worked the bi-election in Parkland-Sturgeon when she stepped away. Very popular here.
