THE BBQ REVOLUTION

Post by Four Horses »

Adam Skelly ran the Adamson BBQ Restaurant in Toronto. He seemed like a corporate citizen. In April 2020, he donated 500 meals to the needy suffering from Covid lockdown. Kudos to him and his wife who run this.

He got shut down by Premier Ford and Mayor Tory. Maybe enough was enough for he and his family. He defied the last lockdown. This was his family's livelihood. He vowed to open. Tory openly vowed to close him down.

He opened and was given a fine. After he left for the day, Toronto police placed chain locks on his doors. The so-called lock order was from the health dept. Skelly owns the building and the back portion is his machine shop business.

He showed up Friday, And so did a lot of people. There were cops all ready lined up , shoulder-to-shoulder blocking the doors to prevent entry. Skelly entered his workshop and broke through the wall into the restaurant. People followed in - lots of them. Many helped him open up and start the cook.

The crowd grew outside. The police on hand were extra-duty cops. Mayor Tory paid for them out of the health budget, not the police budget. The protesters downtown Toronto got wind and hundreds descended on the BBQ.

More cops showed up. Voices raised. Cops were pushing people away from the doors. Shoving and scuffling ensued. Food was being served. Cops called in more cops. Then they called in mounted cops. Many reporting on it so the cops were restrained in retaliating against the people. People got fed. Cops got mad and arrested Skully. Charges were trespassing on his own property and obstruction of the police. In the end, there were 39 cop cars - about 80 cops in total, and 2 trailers of horses - 8 in total.

That's a lot of police manpower for a BBQ; or to prevent people from eating at a BBQ. This wasn't about covid. This was about intimidation. If Tory and Ford were really worried about "crime", then they would have recalled that Toronto has become Murder Central in Canada and the Chicago North. But the low hanging fruit was a small timer cooking pork.

A GoFundMe started up immediately. They hoped for $10Gs for his bail. Overnight $250,000 was raised - all small donations. He was sprung today for $50Gs. Conditions are he can't go closer than 200 meters to his business or use social media.

Skuttlebutt says, Police never got a warrant to lock his business. Just strong-arm tactics.
It's great - these cops get full pay, the off-duty pay to harass an independent business man who is in danger of losing all.
No down side for them. No down side for Tory in his ivory tower. No down side for the cheesecake Premier collecting his check.

Peter Worthington did a good job covering the story for the Sun. He called it the "BBQ REVOLUTION"

It starts somewhere. The spark could be the BBQ.
About 5,000 people donated overnight. Social media is covering this well. It is getting legs.

Doug Ford has had numerous protests in front of his Etobicoke home now on and off because of his handling of lockdowns. So far in Toronto 140 restaurants/bars have gone out of business during covid. Tory doesn't care. Neither does Ford. Yesterday the protest at the BBQ moved to front of Ford's home. Today his office released a statement to the effect that they can agree that people have the right to protest but it is unfair to protest in front of Ford's home.

Get that?

Today, the Ford home protests took place again. This time the cops issued tickets to protesters for protesting in front of Ford's home . They have been on public sidewalks on both sides of the street all these times.

Now the people of Toronto know;
Just because the guy waves a blue flag and spews correct canned mantras, doesn't make him a conservative. His henchwoman, Christine is no better. As for Mayor Tory - he was so far left, his own party tried to drive him out.

Now the Dominion Voting Machine and software story is breaking fast. It was used in the 2018 Ontario election. We now know the software came via Venezuela and was tweaked in China. There are multiple backdoors and easy hacks. The machines and software had lines to China and Iran. Did they during the 2018 election in Ontario? Were votes fractionalized in Ontario like they were in the US?

We haven't heard a peep out of Ford or Tory who were elected on this software and machinery. Why haven't they spoken out and given assurances?

There is more to this BBQ Rebellion than pulled pork.

Hell, yes. This is tyranny of the first order. Fight back hard! And pitch in to Adam's defence fund, now at almost $300,000:

Today by Barry McNamar, Organizer
Good morning.

So I spoke to Adam last night while I was at the airport on my way home. He wanted me to thank all of you for your very generous support.

And, while he cannot post on social media, his lovely wife Allison can.

On that connection, we will be adding her name to the Fundraising Team so that she may take over the daily updates to all of you going forward.

It is important that you hear the day-to-day activities straight from the family.

A few lawyers have also estimated what it would take to bring this case to the Supreme Court and ensure that it didn’t bankrupt Adam in the process.

We have therefore set the final goal of this GoFundMe to $350,000. With your ongoing support, there is little doubt we will reach this goal.

Once the Adamson BBQ Legal Defence Fund hits that magic number, we will close the campaign down.

It is hoped that the family can continue to keep you informed after that happens.

This campaign has never been about the existence of COVID measures but the asymmetric way they treat big business and the little guy.

In short, governments have been frozen into inaction and have ceded control of this country’s greatest crisis to unelected, unaccountable health care bureaucrats.

These are folks who don’t have to face the voter, have no skin in the game and, with the loosening of federal and provincial fiscal checks and balances, unlimited funds.

Hand anyone with no skin in the game the lever of power, an unlimited budget and no concrete strategy and where is the incentive for all of this to end?

In public policy we call this a perverse incentive. They create a mish-mash of conflicting policy responses that serve no real purpose other than to prolong the crisis and hurt everyday Canadians.

Why? Because small business and the everyday worker can’t afford the expensive lobbyists that the big-box stores can. And the government’s policy response reflects that.

Big corporations have the resources to reach government and get these silly policies tweaked.

Thus we have Walmarts open while the family owned small business down the street is forced to pivot to pick-up or deliveries without the regular income available to scale it up to affordable levels.

Is that fair and equal treatment under the law?
Is it constitutional? Does some junior public servant at the municipal level have the right to lock a landowner or businessman out of his own property? Or force them to make their body and private health care records available with no evidence of a serious crime?

That’s where the Adamson BBQ Legal Defense Fund can play a meaningful role.

By putting these key legal questions before the courts, they can create order out of chaos and a sense of empowerment for the little guy.

And, ideally, they force a more reasoned and balanced approach to policies intended to keep people safe.

Anyway, that is what this effort hopes to change.

Political leaders have to lead, not just hand some poor public servant the file, an unlimited budget and hide behind them until the storm passes.

Because when this house of cards comes crashing down- and it will, who’s going to lose their job? It won’t be the elected fellas.

Thank you again. And thank you also to my young daughter for making me sound more eloquent than I really am. She’s been tacking away here for me from the beginning, making me sound intelligent.

Let’s get this effort over the top and change this country for the better!

Looking to 2021 - beware of elite land scoop across the globe. The cult already has the majority of global wealth. They are after our LAND for pennies in a crashed market. C19 is hastening this. Once they have our land we are sunk. Business and private land owners are the physical glue of this country. Our globalist PM sold us out.!!! Canada in the crosshairs. 1. Vast land mass 2. Vast natural resources 3. Fresh water 4. Compliant, largely unarmed population. GET EDUCATED ON AGENDA 21, AGENDA 2030, ID2020, IA2030 . Lots more. Check gov of Can website. 1805 references today for ‘Agenda 2030’ yet Tru-doh back-peddled last week. Elites want to barcode everyone and every living thing. 5G will enable detailed surveillance, control and end of privacy. Is that what you want for your family and grandkids??This is a HUGE assault on the working and middle classes to level us DOWN. That is the elite’s idea of ‘equality’ and ‘sustainability’. They have no intension to share

The Adamson BBQ GoFundMe is running at $317,243 raised of $350,000 goal, this morning.

The TorStar, 680 News and BlogTo are pushing a narrative that the Adamson BBQ location in Leaside Toronto has been operating without a license for 4 years. This is typical CNN-style fake news being promoted by the Canadian Commie Networks. What the truth appears to be is that there is a zoning conflict that hasn't been resolved for over 4 years and Adamson BBQ received a by-law fine of $800. Typical of Toronto - more focused on virtue signal programs than expediting the clean up of their errors.

Now we also see the media pushing that small business of Toronto are trying to stop the Adamson BBQ GoFundeMe.

TorStar is pushing a story that "other local busineses" saying they don't need any revolt. But these businesses were the ones that TorStar reached out to. The lead story is that a Roti restaurant owner is saying this. Her 70 yr old husband is in hospital with covid and the family is scared that other members may have contracted the Vid and are waiting in suspense for their results. Oh and BTW, they already collected their $10Gs from a GoFundMe campaign earlier this summer.

Something not sound right in all of this?

Yeah, it's fear porn being spread by fake news media, tied in with the globalist agenda. They're all inter-connected.
